In March 2009, the 'Pipedreams' community forum tour traveled to Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, Hazelton, and Smithers BC to offer up a different perspective on Enbridge Inc.'s proposed Northern Gateway tar sands pipeline and tanker project

Speaking on the tour was Dr. Riki Ott, a community activist and former fisherma'am from Cordova Alaska, who spoke about the legacy of the Exxon Valdez oil spill.
Jennifer Grant from Pembina Institute spoke about the tar sands, the industry driving the project.
Eric Swanson from Dogwood Initiative spoke about the project itself, including the inevitability of spills and the flaws of the process currently being used to assess the project.
Jessica Clogg and Josh Paterson from West Coast Environmental Law answered questions concerning the current process and the need for one that gives communities the opportunity to have a real voice based on all the facts.
