On Wednesday April 13 at 1:30 the CRD board is discussing the proposal for nearly 300 houses on the Juan de Fuca trail and similar plans for farm land on the Saanich Peninsula.

We need to pack this meeting with people and tell them to declare a moratorium on urban sprawl. You have to register in advance to address the CRD board. 

Fill out this quick online form and ask to speak to agenda item 6.1 to talk about Regional Growth Strategy issues. You have to be very specific about this or your application could be denied (I’ve learned that the hard way).

You have until the morning of Monday April 11 to register. The stakes are high right now. To save the Juan de Fuca trail we need a huge presence at this meeting. If you can’t be there at 1:30, try checking out the protest picnic that students are organizing at noon in the street outside the CRD (642 Fisgard St.)
