Our mission is about invigorating democracy—helping people control the
future of their communities, economy, and environment.
Dogwood Initiative believes a just, equitable and sustainable society is possible in BC. We are uniting non-traditional allies to create and implement common-ground solutions to unsustainable forestry and energy development.
We work with communities, First Nations and labour allies to ensure a future in which land is used sustainably, for the benefit of all people.
By developing common ground, we can promote sustainable, community-centred solutions and build strong alliances to resist anti-democratic initiative, such as the government's ill-advised privatization schemes.
Only by working together—developing an informed and engaged citizenry—can we achieve our vision for society.
