Community opposition to Enbridge Inc’s proposed ‘Northern Gateway’ tar sands pipeline and tanker project through British Columbia is growing.

In the summer of 2009, over 200 people from communities along the pipeline and tanker route gathered in Kyah Wiget (Moricetown), BC to discuss the impacts of the proposed mega-project.

The gathering concluded with a Mixing of the Waters ceremony in which Nations from BC and Alberta united against Enbridge’s project.

This video was produced for the Office of the Wet’suwe’ten, and features footage of the various representatives at the gathering, and interviews with Toghestiy (Warner Naziel) of the Likhts’amisyu Clan, and Gerald Amos of the Haisla First Nation.
