Dogwood's Approach to Climate Change

More people are beginning to refer to the effort to slow global warming and climate change as the Great Unifying Campaign. In British Columbia, Dogwood Initiative is fighting climate change by working with our partners to lobby the provincial government to adopt better climate policy, and by choosing campaigns that seek to lower greenhouse gas emissions

More people are beginning to refer to the effort to slow climate change as the Great Unifying Campaign - this is because of the sheer scale and singular importance of the problem, and because the cause of climate change: the escalating consumption of fossil fuels throughout the past century, is closely tied with the cause of other major environmental and social problems such as extensive deforestation, desertification, and plummeting global biodiversity.

Climate change is the Great Unifying Campaign

Dogwood is fighting climate change in two ways:

  • We work with other groups and individuals in BC to lobby the provincial government to adopt more aggressive climate change policy. Learn more here

  • We strategically identify campaigns that can significantly reduce current or future greenhouse gas emissions.  Learn more here
