Our mission is to catalyse collaboration. We work with a large number of organizations, particularly First Nations, labour unions, social justice and environmental groups, and community associations. Many of these groups have joined the Coalition for Sustainable Forest Solutions, which Dogwood Initiative helped to found in 2002. Click here for a list of the members of this Coalition, and links to their own websites. The Coalition's website is www.forestsolutions.ca.
We played an active role in the formation of the Title & Rights Alliance and we are currently working with a number of First Nations and First Nations organizations on forestry and energy issues. These include: the Ktanaxa, Bonaparte, Haida, Carrier-Sekani, Nuu-cha-nulth, and the members of the Northwest Tribal Treaty Nations, Union of BC Indian Chiefs, and the Turning Point Initiative. The Title & Rights Alliance's website is www.titleandrightsalliance.org.
We are initiating a new joint US and Candian nortwestern campaign on energy, that will hold corporations accountable for the environmental damage they cause.
