No Tankers: Our Coast Our Decision
Some of the most powerful oil companies in the world are pushing to bring supertankers to B.C.'s coast. They would like to jeopardize the livelihoods of tens of thousands of British Columbians and the stability of the Great Bear Rainforest and southern Gulf Islands ecosystems in the name of profit. We can hold them back and keep our oceans and rivers healthy and livelihoods secure, but it's going to take size and diversity. That's where you come in.
Vancouver Island: We Can Be Better
We want to reform the way decisions are made locally in B.C. We are working in our own backyard, beautiful southern Vancouver Island. This is about creating the economy of the future, one that grows the resilience of our community and the capacity of our children instead of corporate checkbooks or urban sprawl. This won’t happen if we continue with business as usual. People all over the world could point to our community and hold it up as a vision for the future. That's where you come in.
